On a day-to-day basis, the Applications Engineer will analyze and develop manufacturing processes, determine best training methodologies for customers and build demonstration techniques in an effort to improve/enhance the performance of industrial machinery. They also utilize their ability to operate, program and troubleshoot full line of Mitsubishi Laser/Press Brake machines, work with customers to optimize the usage of the machine and apply their particular needs and settings. Ability to independently diagnose and treat a variety of problems or situations and modify as deemed necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate showroom activities including machine demonstrations, process development, test studies, test-cuts and overall presentation and cleanliness of showroom areas
- Support set up and operations of Laser/Press brake machines at trade shows
- Build successful relationship with Laser/Press brake distributors
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment to evaluate, diagnose, provide timely and appropriate responses and resolutions to customer reports, and as necessary, determine who else at MC Machinery to involve in customer problem solving.
- Increase sales and MC Machinery revenue by identifying customer opportunities for sales.
- Create solutions for customers in addressing machine maintenance and applications-related problems.
- Develop and analyze customer needs and prepare demonstrations and reports for pre-sales activities for Sales and potential and current customers
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to customers, trade shows and corporate events.
- Ability to operate a motor- vehicle and possession of a valid Driver’s License
- Technical degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years’ work experience in similar Industry
- Knowledge of 2D and 3D laser system
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
