The candidate for this position will be safety oriented, extremely motivated, able troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance for the mechanical equipment in the plant.  They will perform mechanical, and some electrical and electronic repair and maintenance on equipment used in various stages of the steel production process. They will work with a variety of systems and equipment including but not limited to high voltage electrical systems, electrical motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, compressors, overhead cranes and power distribution systems.  Welding, fitting, and fabrication experience is helpful.  Employees will be direct hires for the company and will not be asked to participate in a union environment.  Employees will work on a 4 on/ 4 off shift schedule, alternating day and night shifts.  This equates to working approximately half of the year.
