Our client  is seeking a Logistics Coordinator  to join their Retail team.  Office location is in Joppa, MD

Duties and Responsibilities

Logistics Coordinator (Joppa, MD)

Company looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to help facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be shipping/Receiving, coordinating with our operations-logistics team to achieve the effective distribution of our goods to and
from our Global customer base. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities, attention to detail as well as a customer-oriented approach. They are also well-versed in shipping principles and practices.
• The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency and on-time delivery
• Shipping and Receiving experience (Truck Load, LTL, Small Pack)
• Act as the transportation liaison between operations, sales, procurement and customer service
• Ensure On-Time Deliveries and Returns
• Coordinating and monitoring shipments on a daily basis, ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
• Utilizing logistics TMS to optimize shipping and transport procedures
• Prepare accurate reports for the logistics team, monthly
• Communicate with vendors, sales team, customers, customer service, service teams addressing and resolving transportation issues
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
• Prepare accurate reports for management
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in shipping / logistics
• Ability to work multitask and work in a high paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with in a team environment and track multiple processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS) & (WMS)
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Forklift / Reach Truck Certification
• Strong problem-solving skills
