POSITION SUMMARY

To install and service  Punch Press,  Press Brakes, Shears  and other general fabricating machines including automated material loading, unloading and transfer devices at Customers facilities.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and electrical systems.      Able to precisely follow layout drawings and blue prints used in the installation of equipment.     Complete status reports on a daily basis and expense reports on a weekly basis.       The ability to communicate in the English language.       Good customer relations and follow through.      Managing the total equipment installation process at Customer site.  Basic applications and parts programming.  Regular travel within assigned territory.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to Area Service Manager

 

KNOWLEDGE:

A minimum two years technical school, Military training or equivalent work experience is required.

 

SKILLS:

?          Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical and electrical systems.

?          Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter and Oscilloscope.

?          Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.

?          Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.

 

TRAVEL:

Routine travel within assigned territory with occasional over night stays.

?          Ability to maintain positive attitude

?          Ability to work alone and without direct supervision. 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Base salary is $23 hour ( for first 8 hours) 1.5 x $23.00 (any hours over 8) ( generally every day) Paid from the time you leave your home to time you get back home. ( tyipical day is 10 hours) Car allowance… .32 cents per mile + $150.00 monthy ( rate changes quartly per gas cost). Meal per diem for overnight stays. Training program may last 9 months. You will be traveling a lot during this period. It may be 1 week local, 3 weeks travel, one week local, weeks travel and so on. Home on weekend most weekends during training period. You will be supplied acell phone, laptop, tools and uniform.
