Director of Training Programs – Rockville, MD

Career Description:


In this Career Opportunity you will be responsible for overseeing a large training program supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. You will provide leadership and direction ensuring the delivery of high-quality training products that meet a variety of learning objectives. You will also be responsible for stakeholder communication, staff mentorship and supervision, budget and schedule management, quality, and risk management.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational oversight and direct supervision for a large project team
  • Ensure on time and on budget completion of contract deliverables and compliance with all contract clauses and requirements
  • Assess, monitor, develop mitigation plans for, and communicate risks that may affect project performance
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues affecting successful project performance
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders
  • Hire and supervise staff
  • Effectively apply industry standard program management methodologies and enforce best practices to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and control program activities
  • Document and monitor program wide standard operating procedures
  • Provide strategic and technical recommendations to improve the quality of services and products
  • Act as a liaison between client representatives and technical resources


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Proven success providing operational oversight for multi-year initiatives and contracts worth at least $20m
  • Experience leading training initiatives for clients within the Department of Health and Human Services
  • Experience with leading and directing the work of others
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and stakeholder management skills
  • A self-starter attitude willing to lead and contribute to any project activity
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills
  • Willingness to work long hours during peak periods
  • At least 10 years of directly relevant experience

Preferred Qualification:
  • Master’ s degree in a related discipline
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and Shareable Content Object Reference Module (SCORM)
  • Captivate, Articulate, and/or Storyline experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Highly competitive income with a comprehensive benefits package to include major medical, dental, vision and 401(k).

 
Salary Range can be up to $150K... Solid Benefits available (Medical, Dental and Vision), 401k Match of the first 3% dollar for dollar and then 50% of the next 2%.. If you put in 5%, you will get a 4% match.
