Position Description

The company is looking for an energetic, self starter with a BSEE from an accredited college.  In addition to engineering responsibilities, the Engineer will have 4-10 direct reports.  They should have experience/education in Power Distribution (480V, 3 phase), PLC's and AC  DC Motor Drives.  There is tremendous opportunity to grow with the company.  The position is coming available as a result of a retirement.  The company is looking for its next wave of leaders. This is a first shift position.  Former and exiting military are encouraged to apply.  

The Plant Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the supervision, engineering, maintenance and operation of all incoming plant power distribution, services, and overhead cranes. This position is also responsible for capital projects throughout the plant as well as engineering assistance with the operating and maintenance departments as required. 

Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• High voltage power distribution up to 345kV, protective relaying,
transformer and switchgear maintenance.
• Overhead crane maintenance.
• Interview, train, and supervise electrical maintenance personnel.
• Plan & organize maintenance shutdowns.
• Plan & execute mill construction projects.
Required

BSEE or BSEET (5 to 15 years’ experience)

? Strong focus on safety.
? Ability to work and interact with other departments.
? Self-Starter
? Preferred: HV/MV power, Drives/Controls, and Supervisory
experience.
