Job Description:

The Human Resources Generalist answers questions related to Greensboro Solution Center personnel and interprets policy where knowledge, procedures and rules exist. Compile and maintain salary and personnel statistics. Strong emphasis in Talent Acquisition and recruiting qualified candidates for available positions, coordinates selection process. Administer temporary personnel needs. Conduct new hire orientations. Conduct exit interviews.  Prepare computer-generated reports. Prepare monthly Employee Activity Report. Update and implement required plans such as Manufacturing Safety policy.  Review and update Job Descriptions.  The HR Generalist also assists with guests visiting the GSC during Shows and/or demos.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work with all levels of management to perform recruiting activities for all positions (non-exempt and exempt).  New hire orientations.   Maintain personnel files.    Coordinate temporary help, including budget responsibility.  Perform exit interviews.  Within range of knowledge, answer questions concerning state and federal labor laws.   Process changes in employee status.  Maintain and up-date Job Descriptions.  Perform other related duties as assigned by management.  Prepare special reports, as needed.  Functions as extension of Corporate Resources Department.    Knowledge needed:  State and Federal Labor Laws and requirements, 

SKILLS:  Computer knowledge (word processing and spreadsheets).   Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), detailed-oriented.  Good organizational and interpersonal skills.  Experience in Manufacturing environment (ISO, 6S)
