Installer, Millwright, Rigger – Anna, Ohio

Career Summary:

In this role you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of responsibilities to install, maintain and upgrade industrial machines and equipment by using layout plans and blueprints.

Career Description:
  • Read blue prints as well as engineering plans
  • Develop and design welding / assembly projects from blue prints and other technical data
  • Use prior welding and fabrication experience to Layout, cut, fit, measure, and weld metal to create the desired shape or object
  • Inspect and test welds and equipment throughout the process to ensure there meeting specific standards
  • Examine equipment to ensure there operating efficiently and if repairs are needed

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Technical school attendance a plus
  • Basic understanding of hand signals for safe operation of equipment
  • Aligning, leveling and anchoring of equipment
  • Follow installation guidelines for Layout center, parallel and perpendicular lines
  • Understands and Interpret Fork Truck Load Tables
  • Safely operate small deck cranes
  • Understands proper use of laser leveling and alignment equipment
  • Use of higher-level math to include geometry calculations as needed
  • Properly align and tighten drive belts and chains
  • Select proper hardware and slings for equipment lifting
  • Understand center of gravity and properly move equipment
  • Install shafts and bearings as needed
  • Assemble and install conveying systems of all types
  • Properly preform weight calculations and estimates of equipment
  • Calculate the effect of sling angle on load capacity
  • Reading blue prints, diagrams and manuals
  • Troubleshoot and correct mechanical problems
  • Repair and rebuild gear boxes, complex mechanical systems, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and pneumatic system components
  • Perform equipment and line layouts
  • Knowledge and focus on industrial safety practices
  • Ability to adapt to flexible schedule and work Overtime (Weekends, Holiday’ s as needed)
  • Detailed oriented and a focus on achieving high quality results
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize and adhere to written procedures
  • Professionalism, a positive attitude and willingness to work as a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents
  • Must be very detailed oriented and strive to achieve high quality results
  • Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of internal and external customers
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 60 as needed
  • Must be able to stoop, bend and reach as necessary, and not afraid of heights
