From beautiful downtowns with buildings several hundred feet tall to farmlands in the Midwest plains, wireless infrastructure is at the forefront of humanity’ s expansion plans across North America and the entire world.
A Wireless Tower Owner contracts with our company to perform required TIA* Inspections. TIA Inspectors audit and inspect wireless communication structures (monopoles, lattice towers, antennas mounted on water tanks, rooftops etc.) and their surrounding compounds. Inspectors prepare, submit and upload detailed reports daily. The Excel audit provides the tower owner with an accurate inventory and pictures of all equipment mounted on their tower. TIA Inspections document anything compromising the safety of the area surrounding the tower and anything compromising the integrity of the tower itself.
Proper performance of these comprehensive inspections requires the TIA Inspector, to perform a detailed visual inspection of the entire tower, use tools to accurately interpret data gathered and to accurately record their findings and observations. The use of surveying instruments, tension meters, laser range finders and ultrasound are all tools of the TIA Inspector’ s trade. The company' s TIA Inspectors travel most of the “ TIA Season” e.g. February - October and must be physically capable of climbing towers which can range in heights up to 500’. TIA Inspectors are setup in 2-Person teams averaging 2 – 3+ structures per day. Off TIA Season work the TIA Inspector will either perform general Troubleshooting/Maintenance duties OR work with a Tower Crew. * TIA stands for Telecommunications Industry Association, it embodies manufacturers and suppliers of global communications networks through standards development, policy, advocacy, business opportunities, market intelligence and networking events.
