POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The candidate for this position will be safety oriented, extremely motivated, and must be able troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance for the mechanical equipment in the plant. Candidates must be proficient in the basic electrical theories learned in "A" school. They will perform mechanical, electrical and electronic repair and maintenance on equipment used in various stages of the steel production process. They will work with a variety of systems and equipment including but not limited to PLCs, high voltage electrical systems, electrical motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, AC/DC drives, and power distribution systems. Employees will be direct hires for the company and will not be asked to participate in a union environment. Eventually employees will work rotating day and night shifts.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Most former military or industry experienced techs earn $80K in their first year. Total compensation for this position can reach as high as $90K depending on company, team, and personal performance; Full benefits- Medical, Dental, 401(k), Workers Comp, paid holidays, Pension Plan; Potential within the company to grow and lead at this plant or other company facilities across the country.
