POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The candidate for this position will be safety oriented, extremely motivated, able troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance for the mechanical equipment in the plant. They will perform mechanical, and some electrical and electronic repair and maintenance on equipment used in various stages of the steel production process. They will work with a variety of systems and equipment including but not limited to high voltage electrical systems, electrical motors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, compressors, overhead cranes and power distribution systems. Welding, fitting, and fabrication experience is helpful. Employees will be direct hires for the company and will not be asked to participate in a union environment. Employees will work on a 4 on/ 4 off shift schedule, alternating day and night shifts. This equates to working approximately half of the year.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$65,000 salary to start depending on background and experience; Aggressive bonus structure with the possibility of earning 80-170% of base wage in bonuses. Total compensation for this position can reach as high as $80 K depending on company, team, and personal performance; Full benefits- Medical, Dental, 401(k), Workers Comp, paid holidays, Pension Plan; Tremendous potential within the company to grow and lead at this plant or other company facilities across the country.
