Supervisor/Management Trainee
Job Description
Company Description:
Join a global building materials company that provides high quality products and reliable service to customers and communities throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. The company produces, distributes, and sells cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and related building materials in more than 50 countries, and maintains trade relationships in close to 100 nations. The company's U.S. network includes 13 cement plants, 46 strategically located distribution terminals, more than 100 aggregate quarries and more than 450 ready-mix concrete plants. The company was named the EPA Energy Star Partner of the Year for 2009 and 2010.
Job Description:
The Management Trainee position is a Leadership Development Program established for hands-on leaders, top performers with very strong maintenance and leadership skills. The ultimate goal is to have the Management Trainee learn all aspects of running a concrete block plant to become a Plant Manager. This is NOT a behind the desk leadership/management position. The most successful Management trainees who are now Plant Managers thrive in getting their hands dirty...learning complex maintenance/automation and are not afraid to learn/perform maintenance tasks at a small 15-20 person block manufacturing plant. The candidate will perform maintenance, lead technicians/mechanics, learn dispatch operations, operations(P&L) in order to run a safe, highly efficient operation. A concrete block plant is exposed to the environment...not an air conditioned manufacturing facility. This is a tremendous, high growth position...ideal for top performers who are assertive leaders, go-getters and want to launch their career in the building materials industry.
Compensation and Benefits:
A highly competitive base salary plus bonus potential. Company offers a comprehensive corporate benefits package to include major medical, dental and 401(k).
